Buena Park resident Emily Parker, 12, donated a $500 check to the Buena Park Senior Center recently and unveiled her gold leaf on the center’s Legacy Tree that is helping to renovate and add to the Senior Center. She currently attends Walker Junior High School, but in the future, wants to become a marine biologist. Parker was awarded the money through the Buena Park Downtown, “Kids with Heart” program, for her favorite charity. “I chose the Senior Center because my grandpa, who had Alzheimer’s, loved to come here,” Parker said. “I always liked to go to my grandpa’s because I loved him.“
